Manage phases

Defined WBS phases are shown in the summary table. All phases referred to in the uploaded .csv programme file must be defined in the WBS phases table.

The add phase button is used to create a new phase.

The edit button on an existing phase entry is used to edit the phase.

The delete button deletes the existing phase entry.

Setting phase attributes

Using add phase or edit expands the phase settings panel to allow full details to be entered.

These settings control how the code is configured and thus how the objects in the FourD simulation display and animate within the Insight FourD viewer.

• Code: Sets the code for the phase as it appears in the overall WBS code structure.
• Description: A description of the phase activity.
• Sort Index: The order in which the phases are displayed in the "WBS Phases" table. The lower the number, the higher it appears in the phase table. The sort index column can also be seen in the summary table.
• Task Type: Determines object visibility behaviour during FourD playback.
  • Construction - Sets the object/s to be non-visible prior to the start of the activity, then coloured by the phase colour during the activity and returned to the original model colour when the activity is complete. The object/s are visible after the end date of the activity.
  • Demolish Existing - Sets the object/s to be visible prior to the start of the activity, then coloured by the phase colour during the activity. The object/s are then non-visible after the end date of the activity.
  • Temp Works Installation - Sets the object/s to be non-visible prior to the start of the activity, then coloured by the phase colour during the activity, then returned to the original model colour when the activity is complete. The object/s are visible after the end date of the activity.
  • Temp Works Removal - Sets the object/s to be visible prior to start of the activity, then coloured by the phase colour during the activity. The object/s are then non-visible after the end date of the activity.
  • Temp Works (Installation then Removal) - Sets the object/s to be non-visible prior to the start of the activity, then coloured by the phase colour during the activity. The object/s are then non-visible after the end date of the activity.  Intrasequencing is not supported for this Phase Type.
• Colour: Sets the object colour for the duration of the assigned activity.
• Transparency: Sets the object transparency for the duration of the assigned activity.
