The Configurable User Roles in BIMXtra are as follows:

Global Roles

These roles grant privileges across all projects the user has access to via User Company Access.

Superuser

Make the user a Superuser and grants them all roles included in System Admin Tab for configuration and setup of Projects and Users. Refer to BIMXtra - Superuser Guide for details.

Some functions can be applied individually via System Admin Tab if users are not required as full Superusers.

System Admin Tab

These roles are active for Superusers and do not need to be applied additionally to that. Normal users can thus be granted these roles without also being granted Superuser privilege.

Assign Company

Enables a user to configure the Project Access Company setting of a project.

Important Configuration

Note: This is an important setting that controls access to a project and the ability to publish forms to it and care should be given before granting this role to users.

The ability of a user to grant access to companies depends on their own Project Access setting and therefore they can remove access to companies that they have no control over. It is advised that this setting is controlled by a minimum of people all of which have Project Access over all the required companies accessing the project.

Edit Model Config

Enables a user to configure the Models settings of a project.

Edit Project Config

Enables a user to configure the settings of a project.

Edit Project Details

Enables a user to configure the Project Details.

Document Library

Gives access to the project Document Library page.

Schedule Configuration

Edit Configuration

Enables a user to configure Schedules of a project, including via the Schedule Settings option.

Comms

Provides access to the BIMXtra Comms system.

Edit

Enables a user to be configured to send a new Comm, as defined in a Comms Distribution Group.

Nominated Receiver

Enables a user to be configured as the Recipient of a Comm, as defined in a Comms Distribution Group.

Comms Manager

Enables a user to be configured as a Comms Type Manager.

Comms Configuration

Enables a user to access the Comms > Configuration and Comms > Distribution menus and configure Comm Types.

Performance Reporting

Information Security

Allows users to access Models in the Security Levels in Schedules and Insight.

Models are configured to match these user settings in Model Security, where an individual user can only set a model to a security level below that or equal to the level they have access to in these roles.

Access is granted to the user from the highest level given in the role down to 0 inclusively.

Forms Manager

My Forms

Gives visibility to all Forms on the project in the Construction Pages that are created by the user, currently assigned to them, or to which they are First Assigned To.

Workflow Designer

Gives normal users access to the Workflow Designer (Construction) Page, in order to configure automatic form creation. Users must have an Enterprise Licence to access this role and feature.

All Forms

Gives visibility to all Forms on the project in the Construction Pages regardless of the Form roles. It provides visibility to the forms and their status. It does not include any ability to overwrite any Roles configured in the forms themselves.
